✦ Papyrus

Replay history to your strategy, bar by bar.

Papyrus streams historical equities and options bars to your webhook or WebSocket and fills your orders in a deterministic engine, through the same API you would use for paper trading.

Why it works

What it does, and what it does not

Replay to your webhook
Create a session with symbols, dates and bar interval. Bars arrive one at a time and you acknowledge each before the next, so a slow strategy or a language model call on every bar is never skipped. Prefer no public URL? Use WebSocket ack mode.
Realistic order handling, with stated limits
Market, limit, stop, stop-limit, OCO and trailing-stop orders. Slippage and a flat half-spread are settings you choose. Bars carry no bid/ask, so fills are simulated assumptions, not what a broker would have given you.
Options, including expired contracts
Replay listed options from OPRA history, or expired contracts from model data (Black-Scholes on the underlying's real bars, with a flat implied volatility you supply).
Built for automated pipelines
Deterministic per-account state and a plain HTTP API make it easy to drive from an automated pipeline.
What Papyrus is not
Not a broker: it places no real orders. Not a performance estimator. Futures replay is paused while we replace the data source.
